Welcome to Yaselli Translations.
My name is Rosanne Yaselli and I am a professional English and Spanish translator. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and an Associate of the Institute of Translators and Interpreters, with over 35 years of experience in the translation industry. I have developed a strong skill set in both languages, allowing me to accurately and efficiently convey ideas from one language to another.
Being from a British army family I spent my formative years in Germany, Gibraltar and Spain.
As an adult and having obtained an Honours Degree in Spanish from Bristol University, specialising in Linguistics, I moved to Venezuela with my Venezuelan husband where I lived and worked for 20 years. I was employed by Organización Cisneros, working directly for the president of the major family-owned Forbes 500 entrepreneurial group whose operations included TV Stations, supermarket chains, fast food franchises, telecommunications, light industry, ice cream manufacture, etc. In the course of my work there I became fully conversant bilingually with all their operations. My colleagues were from a variety of Latin American countries; mainly Cuba, but also Uruguay, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Paraguay, Nicaragua, Mexico and Spain. It was fun and very enlightening learning about their language nuances and idioms. I have drawn on all this knowledge in many aspects of my freelance career.
As a language enthusiast, I am passionate about helping others to communicate effectively and clearly across different cultures and languages. My goal as a translator is to help bridge the gap between people and allow them to connect on a deeper level, whether it be through business, education, or personal relationships.
I understand that translation is not just about exchanging words from one language to another; it’s about capturing the essence of the message and conveying it in a way that is appropriate and culturally sensitive. That’s why I always pay close attention to each project that I work on, striving to deliver the highest quality translations that are accurate, nuanced, and engaging.
